Genealogical data
Genealogical data (family trees) published by members in the GeneaLux.Net section are the responsibility of the respective member. Luxracines ensures that no details (name, dates, places, notes, ...) are published for people who are still alive. The family trees are only accessible to Luxracines members.
Anyone may request the rectification or deletion of information relating to him or a family member (spouse, minor) found in a member's family tree. The application should be addressed to the member owning the family tree.
Cookies

Jean Ensch
Né à Luxembourg-Ville en 1953.
Études secondaires au Luxembourg. Entrée dans l'administration communale de Luxembourg (bureau de la population, "Bierger Center"), où il a pris principalement soin des naturalisations. Retraité depuis Septembre 2014.
Membre fondateur et ancien membre du conseil d'administration de l'ALGH (Association Luxembourgeoise de Généalogie et d'Héraldique), dont 10 ans en tant que vice-président.
Membre du conseil d'administration de la LACS (Luxembourg American Cultural Society) dans le Wisconsin. Assistance à la création de l'exposition permanente du musée "Roots and Leaves" de la LACS. Participation régulière au cycle de conférences lors du "Luxembourg Fest of America" annuel.
Membre du conseil d'administration de la section de linguistique, d'ethnologie et d'onomastique de l'Institut Grand Ducal. Depuis 2011 Président de ce département.
Chargé de cours et membre de la Commission d'examen pour les affaires communales à l'Institut National d'Administration Publique (INAP) jusqu'à sa retraite.
Publications avec accent sur l'histoire, la généalogie, la démographie et l'émigration, en particulier vers les États-Unis. De nombreux voyages de recherche dans les colonies luxembourgeois du Midwest américain.
Co-auteur de la nouvelle édition de l'œuvre de Nicholas Gonner : "Die Luxemburger in der Neuen Welt" (en allemand et en anglais). Sa principale contribution a été la création d'un registre des personnes et des lieux publiés dans le journal américain "Luxemburger Gazette" (1872-1918) édité par Gonner.
Co-organisateur de l'exposition "Luxembourg-USA. A Story of Migration" dans le Musée de l'immigration d'Ellis Islande, NY, dans le cadre de l'année culturelle 2007. Cette exposition a ensuite été remis à la LACS comme exposition itinérante à disposition des associations luxembourgeoises aux États-Unis.
