- Eileen E. Kell, 81, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2003 at The Tiller's Nursing Home in Oswego. She formerly resided in Montgomery. She was born April 10, 1921 in Aurora, the daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Frisch) Weisbrook.
Mrs. Kell retired from the Village of Montgomery in 1986 after serving as the Village Treasurer for 20 years. She had been an active member of St. Mary's parish for over 50 years. She was a member of the St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, the Women of the Moose #400, the Tiger Club Ladies Auxiliary, and the Friendly Center Club of Aurora.
She is survived by her three loving children: Jean (Jeffrey) Kittoe of Oswego, Robert (Nancy) Kell of St. Charles and Sharon (Richard) Tolmie of Chicago; seven grandchildren: Kristin and Kevin Kittoe, Ben, Andrew and Megan Kell, and Jessica and Matthew Tolmie. She is also survived by her brother: Eugene (Audrey) Weisbrook of Aurora and a sister-in-law: Velma Raboine of Henderson, TX, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Melvin Kell, November of 1988; and her parents.
Visitation for Mrs. Kell will be on Friday, March 7, 2003 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway (Rt. 25) in Montgomery. Funeral services will be from the funeral home Saturday, March 8 at 9 a.m. to St. Mary's Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Fr. Robert McClellan will officiate with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Aurora.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or to Vitas Hospice, 600 Holiday Plaza Dr. Suite 200, Matteson, IL 60443 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Vitas Hospice and the staff at The Tiller's for their kindness and excellent care.
