- Kronebusch, Mary L.
With a grateful heart for the blessings of this world, Mary Lucile Kronebusch entered eternal life on Wednesday morning, November 27, 2002.
During the past few months, Mary had continued to celebrate earth's riches with her family at the home of her daughter Kay, son-in-law Ray and grandchildren Marcus and Christopher in Oronoco.
Mary was born on the family farm near Altura on December 2, 1928 to Leonard and Lucile Walch. She attended Cathedral High School, Winona State Teachers College and taught sixth grade in Rushford. In 1950, Mary married Harlan Kronebusch. Together they raised their family of seven. The early years of their marriage were spent in Altura where they managed the H & H Café. This service and hospitality moved with them to their farm just east of Altura, which then became the hub of their life with family and friends.
Harlan died December 13, 1991.
Mary's faith in God and fidelity to family and friends were her strength and her purpose. Her nurturing spirit was apparent in her every action.
Survivors include seven children, Karen (Richard) Ahrens of Lewiston; Kevin (Jean) Kronebusch of Minnesota City; Kay (Raymond) Frick of Oronoco; Kristine Kronebusch of Eyota; Karla Kronebusch of Minnetonka; Kim (Sam) Giehtbrock of Stewartville; and Konnie (Bryan) Bicknese of Rochester; grandchildren, Emily Arens, Paula Wieczorek, Timothy Ahrens, Todd Kronebusch, Earl Gittens, Nicholas and Chelsea Kronebusch, Marcus and Christopher Frick, Molly and Hannah Giehtbrock, and Brandyn Bicknese.
