Obituary - Mary (Nepper) Lehnertz
Mrs. Mary Lehnertz Succumbs at Plainview.
Plainview -- (Special to the Republican-Herald)--Mrs. Mary Lehnertz, a resident of this community for may years, died in her sleep from heart trouble at her home here about 11:15 p.m. Monday. She had been troubled by minor heart attacks for some time.
Born in Luxemburg, Germany, Nov 25, 1855, Mrs. Lehnertz was 78 years old. She was married to Peter Lehnertz about 60 years ago. Her husband died 10 years ago and five children also preceded her in death. The couple resided on farms near Plainview most of their married life, moving to the village about 12 years ago.
Surviving are eight children, Mrs. John Tuetz [author: probably Puetz] and Henry Lehnertz of Plainview, Mrs. Barney Steffes and Mrs Julia Klees of Rochester, Mrs. Harry Ehlers of Winona, Mrs. Arthur Zimmerman of Eyota, Mrs. Edward Schmidt of Minneapolis and Herbert of Utica; one brother Nicholas Nepper of Winona, two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Kronebusch of Winona and Mrs. Matt Puetz of Mantador, ND; 39 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 am Thursday at the Plainview Catholic church and burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at Rollingstone. The Rev. T. F. O'Connor, pastor of the Plainview church will officiate.
