St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Ann Gilson, of 211 S. Milwaukee St. Fredonia, was dead on arrival at St. Alphonsus Hospital on Wednesday, April 14 of an apparent heart attack. She was 92. Born Oct. 10, 1883 in Aurora, ILL., she was the daughter of Nicholas and Catherine Hankes Frish. In June 1915 she married Michael V. Gilson of Fredonia in Aurora. Mrs. Gilson was a resident of Fredonia all her married life. Her husband was one of the founders of Gilson Bros. Co. of Fredonia and Pylmouth. She was a member of the Christian Mothers, Ladies Sodality Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Rose Mission Society and the Apostolate of Sufferng. Survivors include 1 son Jerome (Mary) of Fredonia; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Mrs. Josephine Untereiner of Dimock, SD., nieces nad nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, Apr 19 from the Poole Funeral Home to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Fredonia at 10 a.m. with Father David Wilbur officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetrey. Th e couple lived in Fredonia all their married lives. Mr. Gilson was on of the founders of Gilson Bros. Inc. of Fredonia and Plymouth. He died in 1961. Mrs. Gilson was a member of the Christian Mothers, the Ladies Society, the Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Rose Mission Society and the Apostolate of Suffering. She is survived by a son Jerome of Fredonia, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were Apr. 19 at the St. Rose of Lima Church, the Rev. David Wilbur officiating. Burial was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. The Poole Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
