- Nicholas A. Frieders 1918 - 2001 Nicholas A. Frieders, 83, of Aurora, passed away Friday, April 6, 2001 at his home. He was born January 28, 1918 in North Aurora, IL. Mr. Frieders served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post #1197 in Batavia, the Luxemburger Club and the Western Catholic Union. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Coletta (Spang) Frieders of Aurora; one daughter, Patricia (Terry) Vogt of Aurora; two sons, John Frieders of Westland, MI, and David (Kimberly) Frieders of Sheridan, IL; six grandchildren, Anthony (Julie) Vogt of Aurora, Richard Vogt and his dear friend, Andrea Trovivia, both of Aurora, Christopher (Dawn) Frieders of Plymouth MI, Randy (Jill) Frieders of Garden City, MI, Katlyn and Ryan Frieders of Sheridan, IL; two great grandchildren, Brennen and Payton Vogt of Aurora, IL; two sisters, Marie (Frieders) Pierce of Aurora and Gertrude (Frieders) Lavelle of North Aurora; two brothers, Ralph (Jean) Frieders and Joseph (Colleen) Frieders, both of Aurora, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Elizabeth (Theis) Frieders; his sister, Frances May; and one infant son. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at 10:00 am at THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY, Fr. Robert Camacho will officiate with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 9, 2001 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Liturgical Wake Service at 7:00 pm at THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, IL 60506.
