- Caroline D. Gaworski, 91, of Aurora passed away Friday, January 25, 2002 at Countryside Health Center. She was born June 25, 1910 in Aurora, Illinois.
Caroline was a life long resident of the Aurora and Naperville area. She was a past officer and member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality and a member of the St. Anne and St. Joachin Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Ann Gaworski of Naperville and Mary Houlne of Aurora; four grandchildren Thomas (Mary) Weis, Jr., Capt. Michael (Carol) Weis and Aimee Houlne; six great-grandchildren, Samantha, Kariana, Ashley, Joseph, Terra and Thomas; a sister Cecilia Kuhn and a brother Nicolas Modaff both of Naperville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur "Bill" Gaworski; her parents Peter and Dora (nee Frisch) Modaff; a son Louis L. Gaworski; two brothers Bernard Modaff and Peter Modaff in infancy; two sisters Lillian Landorf and Agnes Theis.
Funeral from THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY Monday, January 28, 2002 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Therese Church at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Joseph T. Muller, M.S.N. will officiate with internment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 27, 2002 from 3L00 until 8:00 p.m., with liturgical wake service at 5:30 at THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, IL (630)898-8634.
