Mr. Walch was born June 14, 1896, at Oak Ridge, son of Roman and Catherine Walch. He lived in Winona County all his life.. He married Lucille Frisch Sept. 18, 1923. He was a member of St. Anthony Church, Altura and of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are: His wife; three sons, Roman and Thomas, Altura, and John, St. Paul; six daughters, Mrs. Jacque Roth, Seward, Alaska; Mrs. Harlan Kronebusch, Mrs. Donald Simon, Miss Kathryn Walch and Miss Rita Walch, Altura; Sister M. Cabrini, Caledonia; one brother, Cletus, Altura; three sisters, Sister M. Romana, and Mrs. Culliten Dezell, Winona; and Mrs George Woll, Rushford, Minn., and 20 grandchildren Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The former Lucille Frisch, she was born July 21, 1899, to Mr. and Mrs. John T. Frisch. She was married to Leonard Walch Sept. 18, 1923, at Oak Ridge. The couple had lived in the Altura area since their marriage. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, its Ladies Aid and Christian Mothers. Her husband died in 1960. Survivors are: Three sons, Roman, Rollingstone; Dr John, Blooming Prairie, and Thomas, Altura; six daughters, Mrs. Jacque (Genevieve) Roth, Anchorage, Alaska; Sister Mary Cabrini, Winona; Mrs. Harlan Kronebusch, and Mrs. Donald (Joan) Simon, Altura; Mrs. Richard (Kathryn) Kreutter, Minneapolis; and Miss Rita Walch, at home; 28 grandchildren; one brother, The Rt Rev. Msg. Alfred Frisch, Caledonia, and one sister, Mrs. Henry (Alberta) Meyer, Tucson, Ariz. One brother has died. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. 33763 | Obituary - Mary (Nepper) Lehnertz Mrs. Mary Lehnertz Succumbs at Plainview. Plainview -- (Special to the Republican-Herald)--Mrs. Mary Lehnertz, a resident of this community for may years, died in her sleep from heart trouble at her home here about 11:15 p.m. Monday. She had been troubled by minor heart attacks for some time. Born in Luxemburg, Germany, Nov 25, 1855, Mrs. Lehnertz was 78 years old. She was married to Peter Lehnertz about 60 years ago. Her husband died 10 years ago and five children also preceded her in death. The couple resided on farms near Plainview most of their married life, moving to the village about 12 years ago. Surviving are eight children, Mrs. John Tuetz [author: probably Puetz] and Henry Lehnertz of Plainview, Mrs. Barney Steffes and Mrs Julia Klees of Rochester, Mrs. Harry Ehlers of Winona, Mrs. Arthur Zimmerman of Eyota, Mrs. Edward Schmidt of Minneapolis and Herbert of Utica; one brother Nicholas Nepper of Winona, two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Kronebusch of Winona and Mrs. Matt Puetz of Mantador, ND; 39 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 am Thursday at the Plainview Catholic church and burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at Rollingstone. The Rev. T. F. Gostola, 93, of South Bend passed away on Friday, July 3rd at Southfield Village Nursing Center after an extended illness. Al was born on October 24, 1921 in South Bend to the late Joseph C. and Mary (Horvath) Gostola. On August 9, 1947, in South Bend, he married the former Marilyn J. Lies, who preceded him in death on October 27, 2012. Mr. Gostola is survived by his daughter, Sharon L. Montgomery of Elletville, IN and three sons: Michael J. (Christine) Gostola of Three Rivers, MI, Thomas J. (Sylvia) Gostola of Phoenix, AZ and Patrick J. Gostola of Red Line, PA. He is also survived by a sister, Gabriella Anderson of Fair Oaks, CA, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Elza Fayling and Jean Woods and a brother, Carl J. Gostola. Mr. Gostola was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, a past president of the Home Builders Association, Soil & Water Conservation Association for 28 years and CentralCareer Center. Mr. Gostola was an Army veteran, serving in World War II. Visitation for Mr. Gostola will be Wednesday, July 8th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. at Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home located at W. Ireland Road/ State Road 23. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 9th at 10:00 AM In the funeral home with Father John H. Delaney officiating. Burial will follow in Sumption Prairie Cemetery.
